Nutrition is the foundation of health!
America is experiencing an epidemic of chronic illnesses. 9 of the top 10 causes of death in the U.S. are related to chronic diseases or chronically suppressed immune systems. For most conditions, the root causes are diet and lifestyle related, and are preventable and treatable using natural methods, the most fundamental of which is nutrition.

There are now hundreds of nutritional supplements on the market which claim to be beneficial for a variety of health complaints. All too often, however, the only information available about them is advertising literature. This course builds on the information in our course, Practical Clinical Nutrition for Acupuncturists and examines the specific foods and the scientific data on the most effective nutritional supplements for each condition.

Course Highlights:
  • The basic foods most indicated to support the treatment of each condition
  • Any foods which may be contra-indicated
  • The most useful nutritional supplements for each condition and the scientific evidence for each
  • Potential interactions between nutritional supplements and herbs or prescription medications
  • Clinical plans for the best methods of combining the most effective foods and nutritional supplements

This course has been approved for 32 CE units by the California Acupuncture Board (provider No. CEP-699)
